It will be easier entering the house from the garage now with the steps in place. Later, these steps will be wood-stained.
 The installing of the crown molding is nearly complete now, this being in our nursery.
 And this our 12 foot ceiling arched entryway. Mounting the wood-stained trim, i.e. the crown, baseboard, etc. is just one part of the work. It still all needs to be cleaned, sand-sealed, varnished for protection, and then polished.

The time-consuming wood-staining process continues - with the main floor doors.
  The snow and rain has delayed the installation of our driveway, but now it is finally done! It will be a few weeks before we're able to drive on it.
 The basement kitchenette counter-top is installed. This kitchenette is very small compared to our main floor kitchen, but it will be nice to have a small food preparation area in our basement.
 More progress on the fireplaces, the "surround" (the area surrounding the fireplace, in this case marble) is finished. As you can see this is freshly done - the sealant is still wet. The next step will be to install the wooden mantle which will go around the marble.
 Similarly, the "surround" on our other fireplace has been installed too, this one is granite.
